Picture this: you’re in the middle of assembling IKEA furniture, and suddenly someone hands you the instructions written in Swedish—a language you absolutely do not speak. Now, sure, you’re great with tools, and you can maybe piece together that the “skruv” is a screw, but does that make you the best person to manage the chaos of putting the entire thing together? Absolutely not!

The same thing happens in project management. Too often, we throw the most brilliant technical genius into the deep end and expect them to magically transform into a master project manager. It’s like expecting the guy who knows everything about the engine to suddenly be able to drive the car like a Formula 1 racer. Yes, technical know-how is important, but the project manager’s job isn’t to nerd out about the details—it’s to sell the vision, negotiate like a peacekeeper, and communicate so well they could probably explain quantum physics to a toddler. Oh, and be so charismatic that everyone wants to follow them into battle… or, you know, just meet that deadline.

It’s not just about knowing all the technical details—it’s about managing all the people and pieces involved.

Turning inefficiency into opportunity

I’m Elaheh, a PMP-certified Project Management and Lean Process Improvement consultant helping small and medium-sized companies work smarter. I help businesses uncover the hidden inefficiencies that slow them down — fragmented workflows, unclear ownership, and wasted time — and turn them into structured systems that drive results. By combining Lean principles with proven project management frameworks, I help teams streamline operations, reduce waste, and achieve measurable performance gains that last.

If your team is ready to move from firefighting to flow, let’s talk about where to start.
